Color Palette #1

Hi there!  Last week I started a mood board for my blog design.  I've been printing images from Pinterest and collecting paint chips and all that lovely stuff.  I'm really into Scandinavian design, so lots of Scandinavian interiors are finding themselves in "My Future House" board.  So it was no surprise that that's the kind of design I wanted for my blog design as well.  I was unsure how to do this. 

I like lots of white with pops of color and black + white patterns, so I decided to collect colors from my Scandinavian interior pins.  I opened them up in Photoshop Elements and used the eyedropper tool to select colors from around the room.  Then I filled several rectangles at the bottom of the image with those colors.  As this is my first time, not all the squares are the same width, there's space between them, ect.  Next timeNow all I've got to do is head to Lowe's and pick out paint chips of those colors.  Then I'll put those chips on my mood board.  I get so excited about this stuff.  xo, Ella
